About Angie Brice Thomas

Angie Brice Thomas is the Founder and CEO of Brice Consulting Group. She brings over a decade of expertise in diversity, equity and inclusion and anti-racism work, executive coaching, talent matching, and diversity strategy. Having worked as a senior executive with a large national education organization, Angie brings deep passion to the education consulting space. Angie’s impact began as a 5th grade Science teacher, where she led her students to achieve historic academic gains, in addition to being tapped for the ESL Teacher of the Year Award.

Following her time as an educator, Angie went on to become a senior leader at Teach For America, where she led lead high-performing teams to recruit over 3,000 admitted corps members from a portfolio of 200 colleges/universities, to serve first as classroom teachers, and then as systems-level leaders across various sectors. With over 50% and 40% of her recruits identifying as people of color, and as first-generation college graduates, respectively, Angie is the leading producer of diverse talent for underserved communities across the nation. In addition, she recently presented on her diversity recruitment expertise at the Harvard Graduate School of Education’s  Annual Alumni of Color Conference.

Angie has been honored by Teach For America as one of “13 Black Leaders Who Are Shaping The Future of Their Communities.” Her other awards include the Schusterman Family Foundation REALITY Impact Fellowship, the Executive Director Fellowship at Teach For America, and the KIPP Miles Family Fellowship. She currently sits on the Board of Trustees for Explore Charter Schools.

Angie’s past and current clients include the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum & Foundation, Harvard Graduate School of Education, National Center for Special Education in Charter Schools, MESA Charter High School, and Anseye Pou Ayiti.

Angie earned her BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (where she was also inducted into the Order of the Golden Fleece, the most prestigious leadership honor at UNC), and her MA from Columbia University Teachers College in New York City.  An avid reader and foodie, Angie lives with her hubby and two children, in NYC.
